A CAMPAIGN has been launched in a bid to encourage extra teenage women to get on their bikes.
Organised by the Sustrans charity, whose mission is to make it simpler for folks to journey by foot, bike, or public transport, it’s aimed toward women aged 13 to 18 who don’t at present cycle.
The core message of the #AndSheCycles marketing campaign is that biking is a wholesome, enjoyable, and sometimes quicker solution to journey.
Sustrans say teenage women additionally profit from the social bonds fashioned when biking with pals, which helps their psychological wellbeing.
A spokeswoman added: “Women should really feel assured and absolutely in command of their journey when biking.
“We wish them to see themselves being represented and empowered. With the ability to cycle to high school or the cinema is one thing to be happy with, and it shouldn’t be an enormous deal for secondary school-aged women in any respect.”
